Bespoke Hand Made Furniture from the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire.
Welcome to my website. I design and make hand made bespoke furniture from my workshop in Bream, in the Forest of Dean. All my designs are original and hand made just for you.
2014 marks my 34th anniversary of making fine bespoke furniture across the Monmouth, Chepstow, Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and Gloucestershire areas.

I do my best to guide you through the whole process of commissioning bespoke furniture and help whenever I can. The web pages cover just about every aspect of the business, so please read through them to get a better idea of what I could make for you.
For more details of the design process and how to get started with a commission, please have a look at the Design & Consultancy page. For more details about timber and the technical details of how furniture is made, etc., please have a look at the Materials, Finishes & Prices page and to see pictures of my work, please have a look at the Galleries.
There is a lovely bespoke kitchen for you to see if you visit the workshop. It has a mixture of hand-painted and ash timber doors, with granite and timber worktops. There is a unique branchwork design across the ash doors, which can also be used on other types of furniture. It can be seen in the Kitchen Gallery..
Its about 7 years old now and has withstood large family gatherings and catering for a wedding of over 100 guests, so you will be able to see how well my work ages!
I have designed, made and fitted many large bespoke kitchens over the past 34 years, but as I approach retiremet, I am now only considering the smallest of kitchens, in addition to free-standing pieces of furniture.
Value for money. There is a lot of mass-market furniture available at very low prices, often made in distant counties where labour costs are a lot lower. But when you want something that shows your own unique style, fits into that awkward space, blends in with your home and will last indefinitely if you take care of it, then a piece of genuine bespoke furniture, will give you better value for money in the long run.
Bespoke means something that is made entirely to the customers brief, but too often other companies offer a bespoke service that is no more than a few variations to a mass-produced product.
Fitting furniture into older properties, with uneven wall and difficult spaces is my speciality.
New for 2014
This year I will be concentrating on bespoke free-standing furniture and will be making an acoustic guitar!
This fits in with my other great passion in life, which is music and I've added a new webpage to share that with you. Click on the Music button to see youtube videos and listen to tracks I've recorded.
If you visit the workshop, you can also visit my wife Micheles studio and see her range of bespoke Ceramics, including her new Teapot range. Have a look at her Ceramics Gallery.
I have a few left of my “Branch Across the Moon” carved circular mirrors, 30cm (12 inches) in diameter, designed to be hung on a wall. I probably wont make any more, so get one while you can! They make excellent birthday, wedding or christmas presents.
From £70- plus postage, but best collected in person.
