Bespoke Hand Made Furniture from the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire.

Welcome to my website. I design and make hand made bespoke furniture from my workshop in the Forest of Dean. All my designs are original and hand made.

2022 marks my 42nd anniversary of making bespoke furniture across the Monmouth, Chepstow, Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and Gloucestershire areas.

Click on the buttons at the top of this page to see all the website pages and on any of the pictures across the site, including the slideshow above, for full sized pictures and descriptions.

A lot of the pictures show fitted furniture, but I am no longer doing any actual fitting work on site. However, fitted furniture can still be made if you can find someone to actually fit it in your home.

Getting Started

I do my best to guide you through the whole process of commissioning bespoke furniture and help whenever I can. For more details of the design process and how to get started with a commission, please have a look at the Design & Consultancy page. For more details about timber and the technical details of how furniture is made, etc., have a look at the Materials, Finishes & Prices page and to see pictures of my work, have a look at the Galleries.

Why Bespoke?

Value for money. There is a lot of mass-market furniture available at very low prices, often made in distant counties where labour costs are a lot lower. But when you want something that shows your own unique style, fits into that awkward space, blends in with your home and will last indefinitely if you take care of it, then a piece of genuine bespoke furniture, will give you better value for money in the long run.

Contact

Please have a look through the web pages and the Galleries. The Before and After Gallery is particularly interesting. Telephone and email details can be found on the Contact Me page.

New for 2020 - Acoustic guitars

After over 50 years of playing guitars, I thought it was time to make one, so in 2015 I made my first acoustic guitar. It was a lot more difficult than I thought, as a guitar has to sound great, play great and look great, so there is nowhere to hide if you make a mistake! I had to learn a whole new set of skills, but it was worth it in the end. There are more pictures of it in the Furniture and Instrument Gallery

If you visit the workshop, you can also visit my wife Micheles studio and see her range of bespoke Ceramics. Have a look at her Ceramics Gallery
